The center stand seems more stable then a rear paddock stand to me.. I had both a center stand and paddock stand because I wanted to remove the center, but when I had it on it was way to wobbly for me.. Maybe I just bought a crappy paddock stand though.

Don't forget to buy the brake lines as well, they run from your brake lever to the abs unit, and from the abs unit to your rimms. (so longer lines are required) No idea where on the fz6 the abs unit was, but on my fz1 its under the seat. so braking lines run from my lever, underneath the gas...

LoL nice one, you could get a suit with a camel bag though, and fill it up with whatever you want, has a straw that leads to the helmet, easy drinking :D

After totalling my fz6 im paying 900 euros per year for my 07 fz1, thats 1200 USD. (all risk insurance, so anything I do they pay up)

I did the bd43 with his wires, I'm not a great mechanic but this was pretty easy & straight forward, and the best option imho.

I had the FZ1 bars on my fz6, felt a lot more comfortable. And now obviously on my fz1, its a nice and semi sports like angle, while still not having to lean on your wrists. Great upgrade if u have an fz6

Not to spoil your trip, but the most important question, which beers to drink, YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!. Going south from france you only get to wine country. Belgium/Netherlands/Germany are beer drinkers/makers. So go north. lack of twisties though, but beer!! eh ok well if you insist on...

Re: Trip to UK from continental Europe, summer 2011 I hate winters, theres about 20 cm of snow infront of my door right now, the city of Nijmegen ran out of salt yesterday, so all the roads are covered in snow right now. It'll be great fun getting to work...NOT. As for people tagging along...

If the bike is in neutral it shouldn't matter if the sidestand is up or down.
