Re-check your tire pressures. About the forks, I suppose that raising the front (i.e. to stock) decreases the rake if I am not mistaken. Less rake means higher sensitivity, lower stability/confidence in turns. I hope I didn't confuse everything in my mind and sharing wrong info :confused:

An expensive Duc can never be a daily commuter IMO. It costs too much and the reliability isn't the best. I would buy a 1098S though, as a second bike :) These brands are selling a different product than the Japs. So, a Ducati tourer would not be a candidate for me.

Not sure if it helps, but this is a pic of my 06 on the left, I think (if you zoom in) there was a small gap between the frame and the slider on the left side so it might be normal. Don't overtighten the bolt. If you feel that it's not enough for you, use some blue locktite (medium strength).
