I told my wife I'll do one more winter here. That's it. Then I/we need to get someplace warm, with my bike, for at least January and February.

I have no where near the mechanical ability as most of the members here but Yamaha makes machines that are generally immune to casual transgressions. I always felt that if "break-in" was so critical to a vehicle's longevity the manufacturers would never entrust the average person to break it...

We've got three in the garage right now. Toyota is my favorite car in the world. I'm now on my third Land Cruiser. Before that I had a Forerunner and before that a Corolla. My wife drives an RX300 and the kids share a RAV4. I should be a Toyota spokesperson.

I love riding but I've begun to think about that as well. I'm OK when I'm riding but every time I hear about someone who, through no fault of their own, suffers from being on the bike, I begin to re-think my love affair with the bike. I'm glad you're mostly OK.

I have the original Dunlop tires and I just used a more accurate gauge and have 37 PSI in the front and 38 PSI in the rear. I only weigh 150 lbs so maybe I need to take it down a few PSI?

My tires said Max was 42 so I actually put it up to 40. Is that wrong?

That sucks! Glad you didn't get hurt. I think you summed it up right though when you said he was jealous. People find it so hard to live and let live. They're envious of the most ridiculous things. They're basically just haters. Don't let it mess your day up too much.
