I'm afraid I'm not going to be a tremendous amount of help, but I'm going to toss some info your way. I shared some messages with a gent selling a FZ and he had done the fork conversion and I noticed sliders in the pic. He told me the sliders came with a drilled nut? I just remembered...

I got the P1 tips because I was worried my neighbors would complain since about 50% of my nearby neighbors are in there 80s. I really couldn't tell much of a difference in db. The tips did seem to deepen or richen the tone tho. I haven't taken them out since :) Hope that helps.

I have sliders on my FZ but the idea of crash bars like the Givi ones or the ones from Twisted Throttle is appealing to me. Each one of those has it's own draw backs in my eyes. One is too close to the oil filter and the other looks to impede easy access to the drain bolt. That brings me to...

+1 on the Givi being no picnic. I do believe it would have been much easier if I had still been using stock pipes at the time. TB's eliminated one of the mounting points. That def was interesting. I LOVE my bags tho :)
