I'll wave to anyone on 2, I commuted for a year on a scooter before buying the FZ. I still go on rides with my local club but to tell you the truth I'm selling the scoot as soon as the weather warms as I don't like the ride any more after riding the fz. This is beginning to sound like a riff...

Helmet update well after a few rides and a very cold commute today in the very low 20's with a few flurries. The full face is so much different very quite as far as blocking engine and surrounding noises. The face shield only fogged up when I exhaled :rolleyes:I'll give the shaving cream trick...

I was using a 3/4 Nitro touring I'm a convert scooter rider. The 3/4 just didn't feel safe any more plus it was very loud at highway speeds. Plus it didn't go well with the FZ ;)

After looking all over the internet at different helmets and reviews it was time to try them on for fit first I found out is they all fit different. Not having a big selection here in town the last place I stopped was a small shop not far from home. I tried on a Icon Alliance XL and it fit...

I wear the Daytona Stealth also a Mil-spec vest. I to need to find a summer over pant as well the khakis don't provide enough protection :D

I've got a large compressor in the garage but that would be perfect for emergency use when on the road. I'll put that on my want list. :thumbup:

bryan I know what you mean I just google mapped and it's got me at 2 1/2 hours. I've driven the dragon twice with my car this will be the first time on the bike. When the weather get nicer I might take a day trip through the area.

My bike and car that's a big no let one of my son's use my car to go to prom and it came back missing paint on the front spoiler. The one and only time one of them drove it. Put to much time and sweat keeping it looking good.

I've tried Rain-X this week with good results. Riding in the rain all week :( at least I'm not snowed in :thumbup:

As soon as we get some warm days I'm going to ride up to get some practice time in. Only about a hour and a half away. I work 4 10's with Fridays off so this will be perfect since wife works all day.

We've got the new Volkswagen Plant being built here in Chattanooga. Might be some related to the auto industry.
