That's my bet too An elusive problem on dirtbikes. Whent he vent hose out the cap plugs, the plastic tank will squeeze in just so far, then the bike will quit, pulling air in thru the carb and allowing the tank to go back into shape. Been around & around trying to find that one before...

just got mine bolted on Friday, and I'm lovin' 'em. My butt dyno gives them about the same amount of increase again as the K&N w/ airbox mod. Front wheel now lifts a couple of feet on its own just by cranking the throttle!

Coming from MI, land of many deer, I've never seen them work. Personally, I think they probably make curious animals want to check out the strange noise, thus drawing them too you really... I never used them, and only hit one deer in my Jeep while off-roading :eek:, and had one deer hit me in...

Is that an FZ in the background? That's just crazy. I have a dirtbike for that kinda riding...

I use K&N. The FZ lists 2 different part numbers, not sure why or what he difference is, but I've used both w/o any probs. The hex on the end is super!!!

That was my justification for ordering them :D I'm stoked!!! Should be here this week, not sure when though. Gotta get rid of this snow & ice so I can test them out!!!

Yeah, I'd just bolt them up too. Yeah, it would be good to do the overhaul, but if you can't afford it, and they dont' seem to be leaking, I'd say your probably OK. Besides, if they start leaking you can just pull them off again...It's not that much work... BTW, the "nut" for the front axle...
