I think you can put it under the seat, but I'm not sure. I got a killer deal on mine, but it happens to be for the earlier model years. All they did for our '07 & newer bikes was rotate the fitting a little, but I thik it makes quite a difference in the fitment. That hose is STIFF!

I have the RF-1000 too, and I never close my visor vent. I'll get little bugs coming in thru it once in a while, no where near half the time though!

I havn't ridden an SV, but my friend used to have one and he rode with me a good bit. The SV can't touch the FZ in acceleration, but he could still take me in the corners, all because of ability. I really dont' think you'd be dis-satisfied with either one. I ride around 900 miles per month...

That's a pretty good price on that FZ6. I like Cali-Rider's comments. That said, with my experience now (all good w/ FZ6), I'd like to try out the FZ1 and see how I like it ;-)

It won't quit, unless you really have MAJOR draw on it maybe, but it just wouldn't start again. You'd have to have an aweful lot of stuff running to get it drawn down that far in a long day or 2 of riding though...

I've tried that, inside & outside of my regualr gloves, and it made no difference at all. I was EXTREMELY surprised!!! I didn't figure it would trap the heat as much as keep out all cold air blowing thru, but it just made no difference at all... :(

Oh yeah, I am currently looking for a bigger windscreen as well, something to keep the wind up & over me, off my chest and thighs. That should help significantly. the handguards are almost a waste...

That's what I did, and it works great! In a pinch, you could just used a couple layers of high-quality 3M packaging tape too...

10/10 for signs on medium speed 18/20 for the collosion on medium speed. I don't like that some questions are not clear. The one that got me was in a construction zone and asked about hazards, and all 3 were present hazards... Oh well, I think I did pretty well.
