I've ridden the ZX14 as well...I didn't get the same feeling...yes if you've got a power urge it will fix it the power is amazing but IMHO it handles like a tank compared to the FZ. Also having ridden the Hayabusa quite a bit I feel the Busa is a better "handling" bike than the 14 though not...

Thanks man that looks like a nice road...also looks like a great cut through to Chimney Rock. Probably have to use that route to get over there for our Memorial Day ride ending at the Dragon.

#1 Really kinda depends on my mood and who I am with I can run hard or easy and enjoy the sights. I usually set my speed just a hair faster than person behind me as not to get to far away but leaving them plenty of room. I do stop often though to stretch and chat, on that loop usually at Rosman...

Best I've seen since the -1 sprocket is 138mph actual(GPS Verified) ofcourse I wasn't trying to squeeze every bit that was just pretty much where it quit pulling decent. probably get close to 145 with enough road but it would take a while I'm sure. BTW I weigh 250lbs.

One of the reasons I always scuff my new tires with 80 or 120 grit. It doesn't keep them from sliding but does seem to get the wax off them sooner.

I rode about 2.5 hrs in temps ranging from 32 to 40 one morning. That was about it for me body was fine but hands/face were frozen. Any more of that I'll need external heat looking into heated grips or gloves before next year already solved the face problem.

I used the standard earbuds that came with my Shuffle and tucked the shanks behind the cheek pads. With them positioned correctly I have no probelm hearing them even at Hwy speed but they do have to be positioned right which for me is all the way to the front of the opening if they slide back...

When I first started out I picked up a complete Craftsman set at a Pawn shop for $75 about a $300 set and hit the flea market and couple other pawn shops for everything craftsman I could find even broken ones cause Sears replaces them no questions asked.
