also for consideration. I hurt my hand playing sports. nothing serious, but couldn't put my hand in a glove or make a fist. If the bike was my only transportation, I'd have been screwed!

yup. Car. I personally would get rid of my bike before my car. :( I know I know...don't let her hear me say it! Cars are more practical if it's your only means of transportation.
