You guys with the colored wheels, did you just spray them? Or are they anodized? Powder coated? Looking to add a little flavor without dropping a lotta cheddar.

I was cheering for you... It was a total pain in butt so I got an imitation daymaker headlight and it's working well enough. Then I cannibalized the turn signal mounts and bolted the remnants to the frame mounting the headlight housing. Looks a little ghetto, but it was free. If I give a rip...

Yep, taking me back... Went through the same stuff step by step. I used a hose clamp to help suck everything together. One word of caution... Do your test fitting and get everything how you like, then take it all off and tape over the threads and hose the frame down with paint of your liking...

I did like Ron Jeremy... Just cram it in ;) I lifted the tank and pulled/pushed the frame side back into the frame as far as I could without using excessive pressure. Should buy at least a little real estate.

I went with heavier springs as I'm a bigger dude anyway as well as the 15w oil. Rides well for me. However now I need to upgrade the rear arrangement as it feels like my A$$ is dragging.

It should be P&P, I went with a different bulb, the one that came with the kit was like a flashlight.

Pack your patience and print out a wiring diagram because you may find a few uglies that need some love. Also, since you've got it that far apart, I took the opportunity to replace fork bushings, seals, and upgrade the springs to accommodate not being a 130lb asian man. ;)

I do remember that being referred to as the "cali can". My bike has no such thing. Good luck with the hoses, I had a hard time after about an hour, can't imagine tackling it after a few YEARS!

yamahapartsmonster(dot)com has everything, and enough to do both forks for less than $90 with shipping. Super reasonable for something that lasted over 50k miles...

Do R6S bushings, oil and dust seals, etc match up with fz6 fork components? Having a hard time finding "FZ6" rebuild kits, but R6S kits are available for $40-$70 and look really similar. I've tried the search with several combinations and permutations of fz6 r6s fork maintenance compatible and...

08 fz6 Now naked 54,000mi and counting :) Hopefully I'll crack 60k this year. :)
