Ok, this is going to be a little tough to describe. the bike is a 05 with 2700 miles on it. The first time the engine light came on was about 120-150 miles ago after a very hard ride in the mountains. came on when taking a break, I turned off the engine since we were going to be stopped...

I would like to ask those who have done this conversion and those who have just done the -1 conversion I had gotten a -1/+2 520 conversion as a gift, but i dont know whether to make the new chain to a -1, +2, or a full -1/+2 conversion. i was warned about it being too much of a gear change...

Indeed, I went on hyway 7 today and OMG, that is such a fun route. I will be doing it more, especially since i only live about 10 minutes from the northern start of the twisties. Thank you again Jmerch, let me know if you try to set up a St Helens run (back-side of course). Cant wait to try...

Well i got 4 people for this ride so far, i am hoping for more. If anyone else wants to join, do not be hesitant to send a message. We will be heading out of Auburn at 10:15. Hope to see about 5-15 people tomorrow. And again, thanks for everyone who comes :rockon:

WEATHER UPDATE: Currently, in the Mt Rainier Park, the weather forecast for tomorrow is 55-60 degrees, partly cloudy, and only a 10% chance of precipitation. In other words, It looks like it is going to be a great ride :D

Well just to let potential riders know, as of 3 minutes ago, we are expecting 65-72 degrees in the cascades with no wind and only a 2% chance of precipitation.

that sounds good. I plan for this to be a nice paced ride ( a little fast through the twists, but nothing insane nor 10 below the speed limit everywhere) two up will be fine and i plan on taking a few breaks here and there for pictures and to stretch. Due to scheduals for the average...

I am looking at a ride starting in the lower Seattle/Tacoma area and following through Buckley, up through the north side of Mt Rainier and then down and through looping through pierce county (Elbe, Eatonville, etc). I have the week off and can do this any day from tomorrow through Saturday...

I would like to go do some decent riding, but i do not know the roads due to just not having been riding with other people very much Anyone planning a ride in western Washington tommorrow or this week? I would really like to go out, havent got to really ride since being home from Iraq.

ohh i can understand that. well, that and most service men (the younger ones) have either liter-bikes or 'busa's that they really do not need inthe first place.

definately. That is a good time to go for it will give me a chance to go through a new motorcycle saftey course again to get back into the flow of things. hopefully i will be able to get into one at fort lewis or at the tacoma mall this weekend.

I am back in the states again, finally!!! I will be leaving for home (Washington) tomorrow. Let me now if there is any group rides comming up soon, especially friday or next monday for i will be able to join. cant wait to get back home and start adding the mods i have gotten for the FZ6.
