I think sales in the US were starting to dwindle and most of the bikes being sold were sold for well under MSRP. Now, the MSRP was very low to begin with, so I do think Yamaha was not making money on it. Overall, a great bike.

OEM, 3cm lower than stock. Ordered from Germany and paid $355 two years ago. Now that I am much more comfortable on my bike and have ridden taller bikes I decided to put my original seat back. Would part for $200 if someone is interested. It's in very good shape.

Installed my regular seat back now that I am more comfortable. Took the wife for a test ride and she is comfortable as well. Am willing to sell the lowered seat if anyone is interested. PM me. I paid an arm and a leg and had a friend ship it from Germany.
