I wonder if the shin protector he picked up was actually on his leg or in his luggage? I wear that type of protection and always wonder would it stay on during a crash.

Hi Brian, I've never ridden with those particular shoes (notice I didn't call them boots), but for what you'll probably spend on those (135 bucks), I'd recommend getting a pair of actual riding boots that come with shin protection and don't have laces. In a serious off, those shoes would...

Yes...the Sprint ST is a sport tourer but it leans more in the direction of sport.

I currently have black rims with red stripes. The lettering in the stripe says Triumph Sprint ST and looks pretty sharp: When I had my 04 FZ6 I had silver rims with black stripes. These had white lettering also: I thought both colors were pretty slick.
