    Crashed my baby

Just goes to show you that you ALWAYS have to be vigilant are we're always learning. Hope your recovery is a speedy one, you've learnt something and your mother/partner/children stay off your back WHEN you go to get back in the saddle.

Anyone looking for any exhaust ?

Yeah. The way the bids are stacking up I don't think it will be a sparkling bargain by the time it finishes. Some lucky punter will be happy though!

    Bris Fizz

Thanks heaps for this morning guys - lots of fun and think I managed to scrub the tires in. Special kudos for the guidance back to home base as well!!!!!! Now to deal with that speeding fine I copped on the WAY to meeting you all :spank:. Guess I wasn't paying attention because I was so...

    Bris Fizz

Cheers guys. Just logged on and saw these and I'm aiming to be there tomorrow morning. I'll be riding the FZ6. We meet around the back or at the front there? Hoping you'll be patient with me as I'm not a speed demon by any means!

Kids soccer again interfering with my life. Don't suppose anyone is going for a ride on the public holiday Monday? I'm going to try and get out there for a run at some time. I'm new to both the FZ6 and Brisbane so I'd love some company and some pointers on good rides (starting from Eatons...

    Names for your Bike

My 5 year old daughter asked my wife (and coincidentally her mother) the other day "when will daddy's bike be old enough to draw on?" She wants to paint it pink and call it "Ella" for some reason. :cheer: I told her it will NEVER be old enough for that!

Bike shop on a Sunday in Brisbane

Ya never know. I rang about 30 places. Persistence pays off. They do a ROARING trade but keep going back and they'll stay open!

    I'm so stupid!

Talked to the sales guy today when I was buying the new lid. What he said makes sense. The more expensive the helmet (not that this is the most expensive helmet by any means) the more it will damage easily. The idea is that the helmet crumples rather than your head in a collision. You don't...

    New member welcome thread..

Sorry, but only just now got a dodgy picture organised. Promise I'll get a better one (with me grinning) later on but my wife grabbed this one as I was coming home from work on the first week day last week.

    I'm so stupid!

So, what use is there for a cracked helmet?
  11. Texperkin

    Well, I did it.

Oh yes. The LIGHT blue ones are girly. But only real men ride the cobalt blue :) Grats on the purchase and welcome FZ6 land McTeague

Bike shop on a Sunday in Brisbane

So, because I smashed my lid and I want to get a new one and go for a run today, WHERE CAN I BUY A BIKE HELMET ON A SUNDAY IN THIS TOWN? They all seem to close just after lunchtime on a Sunday and open again at 7:30 on Monday. Cheers in advance for your help.

    I'm so stupid!

Yeah, going to keep the next one inside in a bag in a specially constructed pine box on the ground inside its helmet bag.

    Fun/First Thoughts/Threads

Brilliant idea for a thread!!!! "Has anyone tried these with a full fairing" - Sure. We got all the way to position 37 before the fairing really started getting in the way. :spank:

    I'm so stupid!

OK, so the title was so that oldfast could have some fun. The wife called out to me this afternoon from the garage - she'd been out shopping. She wanted me to move the boxes that had fallen over which were now blocking her path into the garage. The boxes which had my helmet on top of...

    First Bike Size

Actually, in terms of handling I find the bigger bikes more stable. Its just that they can get away from you if you're not careful.

What do people think about Australia. I really reckon our drink driving laws and random breath testing have changed people's attitudes here. And they're pretty tough. Sorry no. But that doesn't stop me pretending does it? :Flash:

    Bris Fizz

Have a good run this morning guys. Wish I was there but kids soccer takes priority on Saturday mornings. Can't even say 'lets do a Sunday' because I think I'm going to NZ next weekend for a couple of weeks and then we're away after that and then.... well, you don't want the life story... Just...

Thinking of an FZ6 (or FZ6R)

Really hope you get to have even a short ride. You never want to look back and think "if only I'd RIDDEN the thing before I bought it". Good luck! If you can make it to Brisbane, I'm sure we can find you a ride :)
