    Caught On HelmetCam

Dood - you should try commuting in London. I'm so 'hardened' to it that I didn't see anything on that video that I would even worry about.

Rossi 7th fastest, 1st practice German MotoGP

Ben and Colin are getting the full factory engines for Laguna Seca so it should be interesting to see how they do with the full factory kit. Will be the exact same engines as Rossi and Lorenzo.

    Noooooooo!!!!

Yeah, any sports bike really. They can all bite you quite hard if you don't respect them. The only thing about the Gixxer is the reputation of the people who tend to ride them.

    Noooooooo!!!!

I think I'm following the 'normal' progression of bike riders - small bike (125cc) to start off and learn on, then move on to a first 'big' bike like the Fazer 600 for a couple of years then say, "screw it" and go for a litre sport/super sport bike like the Gixxer for a while until the wrists...

    Noooooooo!!!!

Well that's the question isn't it? I'm leaning towards a K5 Gixxer - either a 750 or the litre bike. The K5 is supposed to be the best year ever and they are going for around 5K here at the moment, so it might be good to pick one up to try out for a while. Something like this:

    Noooooooo!!!!

Yeah a disc lock would have helped in this situation for sure. :(

Where are the concealed carry laws when you need them?

    Noooooooo!!!!

I was walking down the street to get a sandwich at lunch and I noticed two people riding and one had their foot on the peg of the other. As it turned out it was someone on a scooter pushing MY bike! They had obviously broken the steering lock but couldn't get it running due to the alarm and...

Why do you love your FZ6 so much? 3 reasons?

    1. reliability 2. light and agile - this helps greatly while commuting in London. I can squeeze through really narrow gaps. 3. easy to work on for a novice like me

What to do? New bike? or Keep the old one?

Sorry, but I think you left something off the list - #1 should be "too much speed to start with." In all the ABS testing they have done in the UK press, all of them have said it only works when going in a perfectly straight line. From your description, I'm not sure if it would have helped...

    150cc FZ from india

Apparently you can remove all the road legal stuff and get them up to almost 20hp. In the UK you need a full bike license to do that and I just happen to have one. :)

    At the track right now!!

Remember - Less brake, more throttle.

    Street drill/practice technique I do

Thanks for sharing Lone. @misti - is there anything you recommend that we can practice in normal everyday riding to improve our skills?

So I was able to "Walk Away", but the bike wasn't...

Hey - glad to hear you are basically ok. Shame about the bike, but there are more bikes around. I hope you heal quickly.

    The More I Watch Moto2....

I agree completely. They should do the same with the GP bikes, just make them 1,000cc.

Noticing a trend in FZ6 Horsepower Obsession

I'll add to this. There's a guy who lives in West London somewhere who rides a 500cc scooter. You know the kind - twist and go, feet flat in front of you, step-through frame, bog standard scooter. I see him at least once a week commuting one way or the other (going to work in the morning or...

    New Rider Tips

I'd like to start a thread where the more experienced riders in the group can share those small tips and tricks we all use on a daily basis that makes our riding better/more enjoyable. Before anyone tells me to search first, I did and didn't see any other thread like this. But if there is I'm...
