    Trading in FZ6?

These were the new 1200s I found on BMW's website. Was it one of these that you took for a test ride? Just curious:) Edit: It was probably this one! The HP2 Sport:)

    Trading in FZ6?

Which BMW did you ride? I can't speak for the R6 but I love the grunt of my 750!:D You should test ride them both before making any decisions.

    Clutch!!

I was quite annoyed with the clutch being so hard to adjust so I just got a set of ASV-levers. They were so much better and had the added bonus of looking trick as well. Already have a set lying here for my gsx-r. :)

    Which Helmet?

When it comes to protecting something as fragile as my brain I at least would not cheap out. There are lots of manufacturers out there with very good helmets, and when I'm in need for new protective gear in general I look at what they use in MotoGP and WSBK. I would simply have a look at all the...

    steering Damper

Why wouldn't an FZ6 need one? You can get tankslappers on an FZ6 like any other bike.. If you're going to push it hard it's safer to have a steering damper.

Stoner & Hayden are on the pace for the start of the 2010 Moto GP season!

Would be cool to see Rossi on a Ducati but somehow I doubt he would make the move...

    'Racing line' or wide?

In right hand turns I would usually run a racing line if the road is more or less flat (no distinguishable wheel tracks etc). The way I see it that would give me the benefit of good view entering the turn, and also avoid any oncoming cars cutting the corner. In left hand turns I would normally...

First ride of the year and...

Thanks:) One thing I liked compared to the R6 for instance was that I seemed to sit more on top of the R6 as opposed to "in" it, like on the 750. Much more comfortable for me=) How much riding experience does your wife have though?

Weather is still crap but my dad took a few pics with his iPhone.. Quality isn't good but here she is=) Had them put on some clear protective film on each side of the tank for me. Could hardly see it was there even when I looked for it! The cf look tank protector was also really nice:)...

First ride of the year and...

my first ride ever on my new bike!:cheer::rockon: Temps between 3 and 5 C and pretty clean roads meant I could pick her up! It was a short and careful ride (new tires and cold, wet roads) but it was still great! The aggressive riding position still didn't bother me at all, but in order to get...

Erik Buell Racing is up and running - 1190RR revealed

That's 183.7 bhp at the rear wheel, which is about 20 bhp more than the big four Jap manufacturers. 192 is at the crank. WSBK bikes are supposed to make around 200 bhp at the rear wheel, which is not unlikely considering the mods that are made to them. You're right, sorry! :P
