I would say a M6 x 1.0 x 14mm socket head cap screw would do.

I took these pictures from the bolt that came out of my 2007. You'll see the length of the entire bolt. The length of the threads (after the washer). And the pitch of the threads (1.0). Hope that helps. McMaster-Carr

Doing the -1/+2 conversion would definitely give you more torque. It does hinder you gas mileage but with power goes gas mileage
