Yes,I think it's good that the rings stay on the pistons that they are on now. They'll cleanup well as Gary had mentioned. The used rings have worn-in to each piston and cylinder and developed an even wear pattern together;mated together.

There may be something binding between the Throttle body butterfly shafts,etc.

Have you tried moving the throttle body linkage by hand with the cables detached ?

I ordered a Hyperpro 460 Emulsion rear shock($650)for my FZ6. I don't have a shop and the weather has kept me from installing it,but it's next on the list.
