I need the measurements off the front caliper mounts on the fork on a +07 FZ6 (4pots) or R6 fork. So, the distance between the center of the front axel to the center of the first caliper bolt. And the distance between the centers of the 2 caliper bolts. Like on this picture. I'm going to...

Did you noticed a big difference in braking power (2pot's versus 4pot's). I'm trying to decide which route I'm going to take. Front fork rebuild or R6 forks with rebuild and on the rear Ohlins rear shock. Or get another bike ... which I still haven't found which one ... Confusing...

With a good tune the powercommander will make your bike produce more bhp and it will run smoother ... if you have one ... use it (with a custom tune). :thumbup:

Ps: You're riding @ a good rpm. A lot of people will run lower rev's in corners, which is a bad thing to do. If you're leaning hard ... and you're doing +-7500 rpm ... suddenly the power kicks in and the risk of getting a crash is a lot higher. Riding in a higher rpm range will give the bike a...

Setting up the tires with correct pressure and taking the time to warm the tires up will give a lot more security grip wise. And always build up the lean angle on your own pase. If your FZ is stock the pegs will tel you that you reached your "limit". Altho the bike can do more with good...

Some leathers, sliders ... little bit more lean angle and you'll be scraping those knee's with good style. Good position on the bike :thumbup: I just love it when bike's like ours get ridden like a bike should be ridden :cheer:.

Nothing wrong with your "tune". It's competely normal that it changes color. It's the same on my leo's and my bike is dyno tuned. You can get rid of it with some metal polish and manlabor :thumbup:

I have had this one time on my MTB ... was a painfull lesson ...my finger was stock between the sprocket and the front shifter, with the tooth of the sprocket tru my nail and in my finger. And that was only on a stupid pedal bike ... Those things always seem to be a good idea ... until...

FZ1 :spank: It's not like you never ridden a bike, so starting with a sixhundred because you're not sure you can handle the power ... not necessary imho. It's not the horsepower you have to fear, it's the jackass whos on top ... :thumbup:

If you can live with the seat position, go for it. I've been thinking about it to ... but i'm 6"1 ... I think it will be hard for slow city rides ... but then again ... I never do those :D

No problem man ... and indeed its a not even easy finding R6 forks over here ... let alone affordable. My springs, oil and work cost me 150 euro's. All in all good value.
