Poll: Do You Hate Your Job?

Hmmm... Can't say I hate it, and can't say I love it either. I work for the government as an IT auditor, and have done so for the last five years. I have had the fortune to travel the world and meet the most interesting people you can think of. I coordinate **** between our country and other...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

I took a few pics yesterday showing the difference between the old and new projector. It's quite astonishing: G1: G3: And then a few other pics:Flash:

    Wheel bearing issue?

I pressure washed the bike two days ago, but I noticed that sound before this. I am VERY concious about not pressure washing chain, bearings, radiator and other fragile elements. Further, there are no debris between the pads and disc, I'm 100% sure of that. The chain is freshly lubed, and both...

    Some FZ6 porn

That's Puig. Great stuff, I have it too. Raydin: You seriously have to get rid of that fender, and get a couple of real pipes. You should also consider to cut down the hugger. That gives a very different and aggressive look to the bike. Other than that, it's a great bike you have there!

    Wheel bearing issue?

This morning I went outside and spun the wheel back and forth with the bike on the paddock stand. That awful sound was back, just like that over night. I did this, just to make sure my assumptions about the bearing were correct as I was about to take a longer ride today. Still, I disregarded the...

    Rider down...fz6joker

That was one scary story! I can't imagine what was going through his head when he realized **** was about to hit the fan... All my wishes for Daniel to recover quickly and heal completely. My thoughts go to him and his family.

    Wheel bearing issue?

Thanks for your replies:thumbup: I really was not sure whether it was the bearing or something else making that grinding noise, allthough I was 99% sure the sound came from inside the wheel. However, it seems it must have been something else. Yesterday, coming home from work, I tried...

Does re-painting the side stand black, count?:BLAA: (I did that today)

    Wheel bearing issue?

Hi guys! Yesterday I noticed this grinding noise from the real wheel while reversing the bike, and I immidiately thought it was the chain or sprockets. I changed that last year, so I realized it couldn't be, and the chain is allways well lubed. After cleaning the bike thoroughly, that noise...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

Hmmm... If I'm not totally mistaken, I think it was between 2,5 and 3 cm clearance. However, if you aim the reflector at the lowest possible setting with the adjustment screw, you will probably get even more clearance. That was my hope when I got the G3, but it wasn't enough (obviously...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

I did that too! I didn't bother welding or anything, but used steel epoxy instead (once again, thanks to Nelly on the forum for his advice) That epoxy workes great, it still hasn't leaked for several weeks. Check out my crash-thread, where I have posted a few pics...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

I had an accident a few weeks back, got hit by a car in a roundabout while lane splitting, tumbeled over, and dented the tank and screwed up my fz1 handlebar. I had the original bar laying around and figured the tank was screwed anyway, so I smacked the crap out of it with a rubber hammer on...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

Well, if you take a look at the second link I refer to in my first post, you'll see what I'm talking about. Actually, I felt immidiately after the first try-out of the G1 projector that the output wasn't very good. Especially compared to the xenon headlights on my car. This is of course due to...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

It sure was a whole lot easier than trying to mold a sheet of plastic. I guess it's pretty subjective what people think of such a mod, but it definately gives the bike an original look. I'm still not sure if I want to keep the orange on the tank, though. I might end up painting it white or...

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

Close-up. It's a bit grainy, but I took the photos inside the parking garage at work with my mobile phone. As you can barely see, the plastic cover is glued on top of the home made lense cover. I will try to make some sort of ring on top of this again, as to get an ever smoother transition.

F..cked up my headlight lens cover...

...so I made a new one! Story begins like this: Capo figures his projector lense on his FZ6 isn't good enough. Browses the Interwebs and by chance ends up finding a website, HID Xenon Kit, Xenon Lamp, Digital Ballast, Angel-Eye Bi-Xenon Lens, HID Flashlight, Offroad HID, Work Light, that...

HUGE Thank You to Erci (Eric)!

On US spec bikes, yes. On Euro FZ6 and FZ1, no. I had the FZ1 bars on mine, and I can't even begin to tell you how annoying it was when I realized that it wasn't the same threads. One can only wonder why it's different between Euro bikes and US bikes:confused:

A little discouraged, hit a car today

First of all, glad you're okay. The bike can be fixed, so can the car you crashed into. As others have said: Keep your distance next time you ride:thumbup:

    So... I crashed on monday

Okay, so... A little update on my fuel tank project. I have managed to seal off the tiny gas leakage using epoxy (or steel epoxy to be more accurate - thanks for the tip Nelly!). Don't know if it will last forever, but one can allways hope. Further, I figured "why black?" A while back, I was...
