    How many layers?

It's the first layer you put on that goes against your skin. I have this and it's nice: Expedition Weight Crewneck Baselayer | First Ascent I actually haven't worn it while on the bike yet, though. I rode in the low to mid 50s this morning. All I had on was a leather jacket and wind pants...

Throttle lock and why it isn't perfect

I agree. I always find myself slightly tweaking my right wrist to compensate for elevation and wind changes. It's probably the biggest reason I won't spend money on one as that fluctuation in speed would annoy me like no other.

    Purolator Oil Filter

I've never heard about these... Just a quick search and I'm seeing they are about twice as expensive though

    Top Sellerie New Seat Error

Agreed. As the owner of the bike you notice every little flaw/quirk about the bike. 90% of the time, no one else will notice. Throw it on the bike and enjoy it!

    Purolator Oil Filter

I removed it when I worked on the rear of the bike and never put it back on. I like the look of it off. Granted things get a bit dirtier, but it's just crap the tire flings off. I don't get any fling off from my chain.

    Purolator Oil Filter

Finally got to put on a purolator oil filter on my bike. I have black spray paint, but thought I'd put it on without painting it to see how it looks. To be honest, I kind of like it! Even the girlfriend thinks it's cool

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

Just got done doing this to my bike. It's been a little over a year since I've done it and it needed it badly! This should be checked more often than people think. I think the manual calls for it once a year. Edit: The maintenance schedule calls for synchronization every 6 months or 4000 miles.

Good to hear! Was the old oil nasty?
  16. dpaul007

    .

You should have it easily done in 2 hours. Depends on how long you let the forks drain upside down. When I did mine, I dumped out the oil and flushed it out with kerosene, let them drain/dry upside down over-night, then finished the process the next day. I really can't think of anything...

Dual Compound - Worthless for my riding style???

I managed to score some tires over the winter, and since I have a buddy at a local shop, he offered to change them for me at no charge since they aren't too busy when the snow is flying. ...I still owe him a few beers for that! :spank:
