Stuff the can with some steel wool. Go get the test done. Then pick it all back out. Its been done a couple times after getting a 'fix it' ticket here in WI on cars. Just be sure not to rev it up too much and blow it out on the way to the DMV, haha!

The onset of winter kills my bike season. So then I naturally veer away from the fz6 forum a bit. But I guess I have some news I am now an Uncle! My sister gave birth to this little guy on Wednesday morning! His name is Asher!

I wouldnt see a problem with moving that valve check up to your current shopping list... If youre going to be pulling the plugs and have the tank up and air box half apart, you're not that far from just pluckin the valve cover off and doing the valve check/ shimming any that need adjusting...

I'd say that an affordable exhaust system would be quite popular. Because of the dual exhaust, it seems like aftermarket cans run near $1000 for a new set. Used sets always sell very quickly in our classifieds section in the $400-500 range.

Yepp,,, I just had everything apart for a valve shim a couple weeks ago.. I bet I might not have plugged the temp sensor back in or something goofy like that! The bike is about tucked away, so it might be a while before I can go look at it.
