Got to watch them puddles, especially down in mexico. Here in the U.S. a puddle means that the road is uneven, in Mexico it's more likely a ten foot deep hole. When I was a kid I just had to go thru all the puddles on my bike, these last couple of rain days made me remember those innocent times...

I sprayed some WD40 and it worked, I'm stiil having issues with the little plastic door. Only one side closes while the other stays open, like slant. I tried using qtips to clean any residue but it just doesn't want to properly close. I'll keep trying, it feels like grit is in there, or sand...

Is the actual key cylinder just mechanical, or does it have some sort of electrical contacts in there? How am I supposed to drain the water that got in there if I can't remove the switch, I don't have the strength to turn the bike upside down :confused:

The little plastic keyhole protector is not closing fully. I tried cleaning it with a qtip and wd-40, it worked, but for a day or so. This past rain storm made it worse, now the key has a hard time going in and out. What is the correct method of lubrication?? I've seen the dry lubricating...

Yeah, we got cheesy 91 here in Southern California. Mexico had 93 at one point, but by the time they finish cutting it down with water it's more like 65 octane :D

Sorry for bringing this up, but I just noticed that the sticker on the swingarm towards the chain says to use 91 ron min?? Are California bikes diferent? I've been pumping premium, I'm confused as to why some use regular.
