    Track Day!

lol, the Buell sounds like a torque monster compared to the FZer! Overall sounds like it was a fun day at the track; thanks for sharing the video!

    Importance of Cable Lubing

I went for a ride Friday and everything felt great. I went to go to work today and the clutch pull felt at least twice as hard and there's a squeak sound + rough feel to the clutch pull. I think I'm going to pick up a cable lube tool, but do you remove the cable from the lever? I've never had...

    Saturday along the coast

It's a Joe Rocket Manta bag. It's perfect for commuting and my hand held GPS fits perfect in the top pocket with the window. Nope, my buddy was recently cited for doing 25 mph over, and I can't afford to waste that kind of money right now. I go with the flow of traffic and try not to lead. ;)

    Saturday along the coast

Yep, that was me. I made it about 1/2 way too until plans changed. I ended up making a really big round trip and I chalk it up to just being a weird Friday the 13th. I'll make it to a track day sooner or later to take pictures or even ride. **edit** I should say I made...

    First spring day

Glad to see that all you people living where there's more than 1 season are starting to get some riding weather. Nice bike!

    Time for some pic whoring!!!

Looks good. I dig the blue rim stripes, but what happened to the rear chain side stripe? :eyebrow: Bike looks good and I'd like to see pics with the luggage mounted too.

    gearing for freeway?

I don't know. At 6k my engine is barely touching it's power and I still have to shift down at least once if not twice to make a quick pass. I'm pretty happy where it is. For those looking for lower freeway RPMs what RPMs do you turn on the street? I keep mine between 4-6k for street riding too...

    Sunday ride

I'm impressed with the quality of your cell phone's camera! Nice pictures and glad your weather is improving, at least the skies are blue!

    Saturday along the coast

Santa Monica is a special place to me as my mom's parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles grew up here. Sadly my mom and I are the only direct relatives still alive and a large part of her side of the family are in memorial parks, so I stopped at one and made sure the sites were still clean and...

    Saturday along the coast

I'm seriously considering a few long distance trips in the next few months, so I decided to head from San Diego to Ventura and back via Pacific Coast Highway for the most part. I'm figuring that I'll build up to 1000 mile round trips to get some iron butt runs behind me, and this trip was just...

    The Wind...???!!!

I hate the wind, especially when it's gusty. I just grip onto the bike a little tighter with by legs and try to remind myself to loosen my grip and relax my wrists. Ultimately I just try to have fun with it and play guess when the gust will blow me over, or visualize how stupid I must look...

    Best Week Ever (click here)

Congrats on the awards and a great week. Enjoy your weekend reward of riding in Santa Barbara. I was up there yesterday and it was gorgeous out.

    Saturday morning ride - pics!

Look like you guys had a great day . I'm contemplating touring with the bike this spring/summer, so I headed up the coast from San Diego to Ventura and back to check my longer distance and relatively straight line comfort. Was definitely a beautiful day yesterday.

    frank thomas rage gloves

I'll second this review! I had a pair of fairly expensive gloves fall apart in under four months, so I headed off to Cycle Gear to try on some gloves and use a 10% off coupon. I tried on a ton of gloves from $40-$199 and decided that I like the Frank Thomas Rage the best. I got them...

    Input on Sidi B2

I have the Sidi B2s and haven't had any issues with them so far. As for their rigidity? They do not have an exoskeleton that keeps them rigid. They have a plastic spine that articulates vertically to allow the heel and toe to pivot up and down easily and help reduce side to side or torsional...

    Motorsports Hero Wide test

For anyone still looking at the wideangle one, my local Yami dealer has a decent sale price on it: http://ncy-motorsports.com/catalog_product_detail.asp?cat=2050-46464-46465&product=623548 If you're in San Diego, this is the shop off the 78 between San Marcos and Escondido; great parts people...

    Tranny problem

+1 to what the others have said. It's probably my single biggest complaint about the bike. I notice mine the most when I'm in second gear going around a curve and trying to roll onto the throttle; once the trottle drops below a certain point it always "jolts" back on when I roll the tube back...

    Ninja 250

So I had some plans today, but when my friend with the Ninja 250's asked me to go for a ride I blew everything off and took him up on the offer. We road some fun twisty roads that have little vehicle traffic and plenty of room to truly enjoy the curves. I rode the FZ for 1/2 and the Ninja 250...
