    FZ6 crash ....

So sorry to hear about your accident. But, like the others have said, the important thing is you're allright. I appreciate you sharing the experience with us. We all need to be reminded just how fast these things can happen, and how powerless you can be to do anything about it sometimes. I...

To buy or not t buy a FZ6

I can live with that Thanks, Fred. I understand your position, and respect the experience of those who have "been there and done that." No change in my opinion of the best way to do this mod, but I'm OK with whatever anyone else decides to do to their bikes. I've made my share of mistakes...

To buy or not t buy a FZ6

I stand by the wire-tap solution I have to disagree with Fred on this one. The headlight mod using a wire tap was clean, simple, and invisible. If you use the right size tap, you aren't going to hurt the wire. Even if a strand or two is cut, it won't make a bit of differnece. There is...

Loading a bike into a tuck or trailer

Bad memories of putting bikes in trucks :( The first time I loaded my bike in a truck was 15 years ago. The bike was an '87 Yamaha Radian. While riding it up, I damn near dropped it off the side of the ramp near the top (banged it up a bit regaining control). Getting it off was no picnic...

    Foot Position on the FZ6

Thanks for all the input!! Terrific responses. Thanks to all who contributed... especially ped for the great links, and Scorphonic for making it controversial. Oh, and JONAC, love the pic.:Lurking:

    Well I finally did it

Congrats! I take it from your description that you got a blue one. I chose the red, but it was a tough decision; both of the 2007 colors are awesome. I've had mine for 2.5 months, and just hit 1000 miles today. If I don't stop grinning soon, my face may just get stuck this way. Enjoy the...

Why did you buy your Fz6

Center Stand, Under-seat Pipes, & Quality Like most others, I looked at the Ninja 650R, and the SV650, but the chioce was easy. I owned an '87 Yamaha Radian (600) for years and just loved it, and the FZ6 is the closest thing they make to that bike today. My favorite features on the FZ6...

    Foot Position on the FZ6

I'm curious about how others position their feet on the FZ6. I find it most comfortable and secure to shift my feet back so that the balls of my feet are on the pegs. I think that puts some of my weight on my legs and keeps my butt from getting numb. The down side is that I have to move my...

Which foot do you put down when stopped?

tolgatt's description in #5 fits me to a tee. That's the way I've done it for 32 years. I always go to neutral for a long stop, and it's left foot down on the short ones.

To buy or not t buy a FZ6

Had the same choice - bought the '07 FZ6 !!! :) I've owned 5 other bikes and nothing even comes close to the FZ6. It is one awesome ride. I bought mine 4 months ago, and I looked very closely at all of the alternatives. Thare no differences between the '07 and '08 except the colors. You can...

Poor quality Foot Pegs and Mount

If you let the foot pegs keep you from buying this bike, you're making a big mistake. I've owned 5 other bikes and none of then even came close to generating the joy I get from riding my FZ6. The foot pegs are great! Quit looking for excuses and jump in!
