+1 on Grip puppies. No matter what grip you run under them. If mine wear out, I'll order a new pair the same day.

Uploading Google Maps to Garmin GPS

I used to use GoogleMaps and Takitwithme, but I just ran into too many issues ( some routing errors and some with gpx files that wouldn't import ). I finally moved to MapQuest and I've been very happy ever since. If you have the Garmin Communicator plugin you can send routes from MQ directly to...

Which tires should I buy for my 2005-fz6??

+1 The PRs are cheap. You should be able to find the original PRs for about the same price as the Bridgestone 021s.

Renthal Handlebar + HVMP bar ends + Oury grips

I have the same setup, Renthal high road bar. All of the cables will reach. The front brake line will the be tightest. I had to modify the mount for the horn in order to free up some room for the brake line. I will order a longer brake line when I get around to upgrading to steel braided brake...

Using FireFox 3.6.3, when I'm logged in and I open a link in a new tab I get logged out. This issue seems to be specific to this site as I don't have this issue on other forums.

    Silly turn signal question

You can have running lights in the rear, but most states require them to be red. Amber running lights are allowed in the front, however. Turn signals in the rear can be amber or red. I, too, am frustrated that Yamaha only put a signal light in the rear on the Fazer ( the tag light doesn't...

Rear brake, do you use it?

I, too, having grown up riding dirt bikes, use my rear brake more than my front ( in application, not in force ). I do not find the rear brake on the FZ6 to be weak by any means.... My most common use of the rear is to bleed off speed. However, if I need to stop fast I don't hestitate to grab...

Ok, it's time to bring this thread out of hibernation. Who's still around? Who's ready to start planning some rides? I just got back from a 478 mile day trip. I'm ready for more. Who's available to ride Saturdays? Sundays? Who wants to venture out and plan some 2-day or 3-day trips...

Thanks for the info interace3 This is exactly what I want to do. I really like what you did with the turn signals, I will probably do the same, but with smaller LED signals instead of the large stock ones.

how long did your stock BT 020s last?

I got just over 7,000 miles on the front and right at 8,000 miles on the rear. Like everyone else, the front was severely cupped. The rear wore evenly, though. I went with the BT 021's and I am very satisfied. I have about 4,000 miles on them so far. The 21's have a different profile as...
