The sound is caused by the tensioner but it's not the tensioner making the noise, it's your cam chain and valvetrain. I know mine is shot, as it's a common problem with these engines. How many miles do you have on it?

Yep. Just fill it to the top, leave the cap off, start the bike and let it run through. Any air will rise to the top and out the cap. It won't splash out unless you overfilled it(hard to do)

It certain states(such as california) you legally have to have headlights on a motorcycle even during the day. Honestly, I wouldn't ride without them on.

My Nelson Rigg bag has some really strong magnets, and it's impossible to remove from the tank without scratching the clear coat. My tank is full of fine scratches where it attaches, but you can only see them up close in direct lighting.

I high sided and my bike SLAMMED down right on the left frame slider. Slider shredded and bent, but frame, engine and mount PERFECTLY FINE. Your experience may vary, but I would never run a bike without frame sliders.
