Yes the fairings are interchangable. Crazybiker did a complete swap to put 07+ stuff on his 04. I'm pretty sure he had to change his speedo to fit the fairings. The tails are the same throughout the years.

I have never seen an air scoop for an FZ6, there isn't much room by the airbox to fit anything. It could probably be done with enough routing but would have to be smallish diameter, defeating the purpose. If you made a custom airbox I'm sure you could do something.

I got the Supersprox too, I don't want to be replacing it too often. They only make it for the back though, I had to get a steel one for the front. Just waiting to get a Speedohealer to install them.

You can adjust the linkage itself, where it mounts on the shift shaft. If it is off it will mess with the shifting. While you have it off you might as well check the return spring and make sure its ok. Mine had gunk in it a while back and kept the shift lever from returning after a downshift...
