When cleaning/polishing the headers on the bike, Autosol applied with 000 steel wool works wonders. Polish it off with a good cotton cloth and your headers will gleam.

I had the same whine in 3rd gear, but it went away after I installed Shell Rotella T 5w40. Mind you, I also started wearing earplugs around the time of the oil change.:rof: Don't worry about the whine...it's quite normal for an FZ6. :thumbup:

I installed a Sunstar 15t front sprocket about a month ago and I'm very please with it. I don't think it's any noisier than the OEM 16t sprocket, and the performance of the bike is FANTASTIC with it installed. Gas mileage suffers a wee bit, but look at the fun I'm having. :rockon:

It could still be a battery issue. The battery may not be able to deliver the amps required to engage the starter and turn the engine over.

Anyone who works in the Automotive trades will use Snap-On or Mac Tools almost exclusively. There's several very good reasons for that. ;)

Yes it most certainly does when it comes to precision tools like a torque wrench. I have a Snap-On torque wrench that's 20 years old. I had it calibrated about 5 years ago and only required a minor adjustment. You know that it's accurate OOTB because the expensive torque wrench will come...

You'll never regret installing a set of Scorpions on an FZ6. The Brits really understand what a high-revving 4 cylinder engine should sound like.

That dyno run-up (and run-down) sounds very smooth and progressive, with no backfiring. I really have to get my bike dyno'd....

A less expensive alternative to the Stebel is the Fiamm Freeway Blaster (low tone) horn. Easy to install in place of the OEM horn and it's LOUD. (a claimed 132db)
