I know that the engines should be the same. I love the power delivery of my 04, a lot of torque between 4 and 6 grand. My nephew is wanting to buy mine and i'd like to upgrade to an 07 or 08. Just wondering if any has done this or rode the 04 and 05's then an 07 or 08 and can give me first hand...

i have the up and back risers and was lifing my tank the other day - be careful you will scratch the tank ! don't ask how i know !

thought @ you today, was cleaning the bike and i put an 8mm allen wrench in my tool kit - hopefully it'll collect a lot of rust under there !

Re: Which oil?!? after 3 new bikes in the last 8 years, i go 3,000 miles with dino oil then switch over to full synthetic. the compounds in the engines are so hard in the newer engines. pick your own flavor in synthetic. personally i use amsoil.

man - that is wicked looking fron the sky - i'd hate to see some of the other turns up 28.

fall ride is almost a sure thing but i'll probably be solo - so i'll pull two plug wires. LOL Elisha and i had a great time - always enjoy our time in the mts., riding, seeing old friends, and making new ones. i'm just super lucky to have a passenger like her !
