Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Definitely interested in doing that. So when I have the H4 LED with hi and low, I have the normal 3 hole connector that the factory high beam (right side when sitting on bike) connector uses. Which lead would I remove from it to replace with the new low beam connector? Thanks guys for your help

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Ah, so I was wrong, I incorrectly assumed the H4 bulb in the FZ made use of both filaments but nope, as you said the low beam is not used! Interesting. That's a nice write up, quite a wealth of information here. I love it

    ST2 Self-Cancelling Indicators

Right. So the always on left side is a H4 in low beam, until the high beam switch is turned on, and then the left side H4 goes into high beam mode and the H7 on the right turns on as well. At least that's what I'm thinking happens. I also have a feeling I am wrong about this which very well may...

    ST2 Self-Cancelling Indicators

Thanks for making me aware of this thread! The pictures are great for what I'm doing. It is actually a H4 bulb, as H4 are dual filament for a low and high beam function in one housing, which a lot of cars use. H7 is just single filament. :) I believe H4 is the only bulb type of the 7 varieties...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Thank you, this is a huge help. Too bad that it won't be as simple as I was hoping, but what ever is. :) In the mean time, I will be looking into this wire change so I can run off the low beam power supply, and no longer have the high beam dash light lit up. I was hoping to gain full...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

Okay here's the dilemma, put a ebay single headlight on my FZ6 because I crashed and broke the fairing. Obviously the fairing model has two headlight connectors, for the single H4 bulb in it now, I'm using the old highbeam connector, so in order for the light be on I need to leave the highbeam...

    FZ6 Headlight Conversion Question(s)

Sorry, to be more clear I would need to drill and tap it. It has a slight outline only where it would be. I'm leaning towards that right now, despite is being a bit of extra work.

    FZ6 Headlight Conversion Question(s)

There aren't any instructions with it. :( And I did see a few threads that mention tapping the hole, there isn't anything on that side to mount it. Just on the N version triple, although the spot where the hole would be is marked. Maybe I will just zip tie is right around the triple clamp. One...

    FZ6 Headlight Conversion Question(s)

Looking for creative ideas for the right side (looking at bike head-on) mount, are people mostly taking the triple off and tapping that hole where the outline is? I'm not opposed to this but it's a decent amount of work so I wanted to see first. Anything else I can do that works? I mounted it...

What Octane gas do you use?

Re: What Octane gas do you use? // w details as to why! Started using 91 because I figured an engine of this caliber needed it, but when I read it can take 87 I switched to that. Still feels good, I don't really notice the difference if there is one.

One side of lower shock bushing stuck in swingarm hole, ideas for removal needed

Lol, well thanks for the picture. I was getting so frustrated about why that bushing was stuck, I thought the collar slid all the way through both holes. It seems so weird to me it only goes through one side of the mount and then meets up with the left side but doesn't go through, and therefore...

2006 Yamaha FZ6 was lowered by previous owner, how to put back to stock or even make it a bit taller

Contacted Wilbers suspension and the shock is indeed a lowering shock, and can not be easily set to the standard height they sell (pretty much the same product, you just select between standard or lowered -40mm), needs a bunch of different parts installed, and not available as a kit. Ordered a...
