    FZ6 Help

I believe I saw that same bike on Craigslist and to me it seems like more trouble than it's worth. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is the bike and maybe by looking at the pictures someone with more knowledge than me on motorcycle repair can chime in. 2012 yamaha fz6 ... 7000 miles...

What to do with an annoying neighbour..

I would talk to her the next time you saw her and politely ask her if she could either stop or get fixed whatever is wrong with car that makes her constantly have to rev it. If that doesn't work I suppose you could threaten to call the police on her with a disturbing the peace complaint.

how much do dealers usually mark up?

If that's the bike you really want then I would suggest you go in there, tell them you don't feel like haggling and give them the price you are willing to pay out the door. Then if they turn that down (which more then likely they will) polity thank them for their time and give them your name...

What the heck do we call these things?

I think you will be safe with using any of the these three designations - sport tourer, standard, or naked.

    2006+ FZ6 wanted MN

I believe he saw that one already and passed on it. It's in this thread. http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-general-discussion/52289-buy-not-buy-fz6-2.html Not sure if he saw this one or not. Looks like a good deal. It has aftermarket exhaust already, is priced below blue book, and sounds...

Who wants to make a buddy?

As long as your changing the coolant I would change the spark plugs as well. Its really easy to gain access to the plugs if you can disconnect the hoses from the radiator and tilt it forward a few inches. The plug wrench in your toolkit works great to actually change them and I replaced mine...

Bike Classifieds - Should VIN be posted?

I agree with that. If the buyer won't provide the VIN privately for a CARFAX report or to verify the authenticity of the add then that is an automatic red flag and the buyer should walk away. If your selling something anywhere you wouldn't post your address (at least I wouldn't) for everybody...

    Tipped going zero

It happens. No big deal, you dust yourself off, have a laugh at your expense and get back on the proverbial horse. No worse for the wear. The main thing is that you were able to get out and ride today. I'm jealous, this winter is really starting to p**s me off!

Bike Classifieds - Should VIN be posted?

I'm with you. I even hate selling stuff on Craigslist because I don't want them coming to my house to pick it up.

Bike Classifieds - Should VIN be posted?

Yeah but eBay has vehicle purchase protection.

Bike Classifieds - Should VIN be posted?

I don't like that idea at all. That's just giving out personal info that everybody and their brother doesn't need to see, like your social security, driver's license, and license plate #. Like stated earlier, if a buyer wants to know the VIN, that can be handled between the buyer and seller...

    modify stock seat

Lookin' good. I just my got my seat back from Spencer's to have it lowered and Supracor padding installed. It only cost me $75 as he didn't charge me for the lowering. Can't wait to try it out if we ever get some warm weather. Let us know how your seat is once you get a few rides in.

    Saying goodbye to my FZ6...

I myself keep going back and forth between this and the FZ-09. I like the Z1000 because of the suspension but hate it because of the weight. I think I will still go with the FZ-09 as my next bike and just upgrade the suspension and perhaps a power commander. I think even with the money spent...

were those michiganders at? or close by?

I'm not really familiar with that part of the state, but just by looking on Google Maps it looks like there are more than a few nice roads out by you. To the northeast 106, 52, and 36 through all the recreation areas. Not to mention the secondary roads winding among all the lakes. I would...

were those michiganders at? or close by?

I'm always up for a ride. Although the roads around here aren't the greatest there are a few good rides. M37 and M43 through Gun and Gull lakes is a nice ride and can be done in a few hours. Leonard St. out to Grand Haven and south along Lakeshore Dr. is nice also and then we could...

    Fork oil weight?

O.k. I've tried searching for it and I can't find it. I am planning on changing my fork oil soon and am trying to find out the proper weight for me. I weigh 170lbs with my gear. What weight oil should I use, 10 or 15 or something else. Also where is the best place to purchase, from the...
