...for some of the S1 models, There was a web site where you could look up your serial number to see if your bike had the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) replaced. I don't know if the TPS has fixed position but on my SV1000s you can do an adjustment on the TPS position to improve fueling response.

It raises lower side of MAP signal a bit so ecu sees air being drawn (or rather doesn't see rapid throttle close) in and doesn't shut down fuel all the way down (keeps injectors open for longer) after you close a throttle, it's like a buffer between accel and decel maps. Fuel cut still happens...

...it needed to create the perfect conditions to become a problem. The problem itself was inevitable. Second side note: My Ducati is now on the stand to swap out the TPS (calibration of the TPS is a total PIA) and then the $500 FZ6 goes on the stand. That bike will get a dedicated rebuild thread.

Thank you @TownsendsFJR1300 There is another easy test for the tps that might help you. At least do this test. There are no tools or disassembly required. The FZ6 readout can be put in diagnostic mode and you can read the tps numbers while rotating the throttle. Rotate throttle slowly and...

If you have no coil related error code and the miss only exists at low rpm, could it be a vacuum leak or other issue? A bad TPS can also create that type of anomaly. If it is coil related with no code @trepetti did a coil over mod that's the 'bees knees"

live data shows the TPS is giving an accurate reading, IE 0-1% as soon as the throttle is opened. I MUST do a video with the throttle/hand in shot with audio. I'd love to see the same video from yours, at like 7/8k rpm, 0% throttle then roll on really gently. It's not dangerous and not burning...
