hmm, gessing.. it sounds like your aftermarket alarm fella.. My aftermarket car alarm would cut the engine if triggered/active... even if you had the key/rip the alarm out, the engine will not start/crank [depends on how they wired it in].

Hi there - i'v just bought a hybrid GSX muscel bike, which has a busa rear swing arm fitted. To me, it seems more of a straight line bike, then an agile bike. Don't get me wrong, they are cracking bikes... however i would not use it for everyday use, tho many people do - Thats what the FZ6 is...
George White Yamaha in Shoreditch supplied everything for us, and it was super fast. Only thing he doesn't do is post the parts...

Oh also, get some good quality fork oil - i used Silkolene 15wt fork oil, but there is loads to choose from to be honest.
Ah - i missed your last line - lol
I used the old bits to seat the new bits in place... and tapped em in place until they were seated properly... May require two [four hands] tho, i had my dad hold the the fork leg while i did the tapping. The seals pretty much slid in place... i smeared...

I use a little of my chain wax... spray a little into the lock, and work in using your key, after a while... it should start to loosen up :)

I do feel for ya matey, a few weeks back after just finished my daily graft... Hyped up that its home time etc. etc. Walked around back, to where i was parked and noticed my rear tyre was deflated/flat looking - @£$$£@ was my impression, not again.

A guy i work with builds crazy bikes [i just bought from from him]... his last machine [or few] had a super charger fitted/tuned and it did not have such a huge swing arm(?)... guess it all on the builder.
I'll post a few pics of my new bike, once i take delivery [think muscle bikes...]

Whooop - Yamaha have agreed to replace the faulty TPS unit free of charge as part of their Recall scheme.
Thanks again Karen, I was really under the impression that it was machines prior to 2006 that had the faulty TPS unit, guess not
For anyone interested - Yamaha UK can be...
Thanks Karen - I shall try the dealer Monday AM. However would it matter if my bike is a 2006 machine... and not prior..? I was reading this effected 2005/4 machines more then 06+.
thanks again, cheers.
Hi Chaps - my 2006 machine has developed a fault which is very suspect of a faulty TPS unit. This all started on Tuesday. Was 3/4's of the way to work, filtering through usual London traffic, and i lost all 'drive' - the engine RPM's went from 1450 to 900, 750, 500/450 and 0...
This has...
My Lower race seemed like it was welded to the bottom... In the end, i had to dremel the sucker off... [i did not have access to a torch]. Did the race just slip off after expanding/heating a little...?
This thread really really helped me, so just paying my dues... Top Man..!!
