    Any Ontarians Still Around?

Awesome! This is shaping up nice... I wanted to head to Ottawa and ride around in Gatineau anyway, maybe camp for the weekend up there. I used to live in Ottawa but only had mountainbikes, nothing motorized lol. I remember hiking up that main hill in Gat Park and being jealous of all the bikes...

Hey, wondering about other riders local to me.

WTB rear MUD Gaurd with License plate light

I noticed that someone has one for sale on this forum who lives in the US, that would be cheaper for you.

Build your own Manometer for Throttle Body Sync!

Why does the tutorial direct us to sync the throttle bodies first, then adjust the idle rpm, then sync them again? Could we just get the bike up to temp, set idle rpm to 1350, then sync throttle bodies once and be done?

    Electrical Issue (not enough power?)

Do I take it to a mechanic/shop to load test, or is this something I do on my own? I will check the connections on the battery and clean them as suggested, thanks! I will look up what a regulator rectifier plug is and check that too, lol, but what would be signs of pin damage? Do I do something...

    Electrical Issue (not enough power?)

So what kind of voltmeter should I look for? I'll hit up Canadian Tire and grab one soon if they have one with the functions you recommend for not a bad price. I didn't realise this about the dual light mod. I had never looked into it myself, the PO was a mechanic and seemed to know what he...

Bump... anyone know where to get these or does anyone have the skills to fab them?

WTB rear MUD Gaurd with License plate light

I'll check tomorrow, pretty sure I have one. But I'm up in Ontario, Canada, so shipping might be too costly.

    Electrical Issue (not enough power?)

Damn... thought my battery was fine and was leaning towards a stator issue. My story: Dual headlight mod done by previous owner. 15t front sprocket Riding north early Sat morning to photograph my cousin's wedding. Averaging 100kph, which means over 5k rpm with the smaller front sprocket...

    Frame sliders?

Looks pretty much the same from the picture. The one from A Vicious Cycle/Twisted Throttle Canada is the one I ordered. I'm not sure what you mean they don't have a hole where a longer bolt will work... this part bolts onto the bike, at the front on one side where the engine mount bolt is...

Loose rear sprocket flies off and

Har har... that's nuts though!! Pretty extreme way to deal with a tailgater...?

Can we use this for our motorcycle?

20w-50 is fine/good. I have the Clymer manual and it basically tells me to use whatevver suits the temp range I ride around in the most. As long as it is JASO MA or JASO MA2 certified, it's good for motorcycles.

New Owner and an INSANE Deal - Chicago

As everyone else is saying, great find! And dry rot! I've heard of a spray you can coat old tires in and keep them wrapped for a bit to refresh them, but haven't looked into it. Depending on what you're looking to do with your miles, I recommend Pirelli Angel ST or GT's. Amazing tires, so happy...

    May 2015 BOTM - winner - marsman89

Re: May 2015 BOTM - voting enabled I remember reading on his site a couple years ago he crashed and the bike was a write off, but that he was leaving the site up, and he did get another bike, but a different make/model. Looks like he finally let his site die after all :( Also, out of...

    Reusable Filters: Thoughts?

Lol smh = shake my head Some of their bikes hitting a million miles!? Never heard of it nor seen it. Regardless, your original point was whether it was needed or not. My point is that it may not be needed, but it can certainly help. If you bothered to read what I've now posted at LEAST 3...

    Reusable Filters: Thoughts?

Thanks!!! I read in their FAQ why they don't use the anti drain back valve. They claim that tests, external studies as well as their own, show that the anti drain back valves only slow the process, they don't keep the oil there indefinitely, so if you're stopping for any length of time it...
