What is an acceptable slack in transmission? If I rotate the wheel on its stand from forward to reverse it seems to have quite a bit of rotation before gears are engaged. It makes for jerking slower cruising shifts. Is this how a sport bike shifts? I’m new to these types of bikes. Low mileage 2005

Speed healer worked perfectly. Wish I knew why it was so far off though.

Just ordered a speed healer. They claim -99% up to +999% adjustments.

So it is in MPH. When I put my GPS in Kph it matches up with the MPH on my speedo. So weird. Then when I switch on the speedometer to Kph it is even faster. The only thing I can think of is I don’t have ABS and speedometer is from a bike with it I believe. I never ran power to the wire harness...

I will. It’s funny you mention that. The Temp says C, I thought Coolant? Maybe it’s Celsius. ‍♂️

I have a 2005 S1 and swapped to a 2007 S2 speedometer. Everything works fine but the MPH is way off. I checked it against my GPS. It says 70mph when I’m doing 40mph. I was thinking of using a speed healer. Any ideas?

I have the new bracket that the kit came with and I will try to make it fit. It came with everything else so that’s a plus. I didn’t realize the yolk is different between model years.

Just bought a naked front headlight kit for a bike that was wrecked and trying to rebuild. How does the front speedometer bracket mount to the forks? It is a 2005 but I am putting the 2007 speedo S2 on it. Any ideas?

I found the 2007 ABS schematic. I see what you mean. Mine doesn’t have that wire. Very strange. Not sure where it is getting power. I even tried using a jumper thinking the warning light was a sign of loss of power from ABS ECU. The bummer is buying a US model for another $350 dollars.

I have a 2005. I bought a 2007 S2 speedometer and wire harness. I tried plugging in the harness and nothing is working or lighting up. Are the wire harness interchangeable? The connector plugs are the same. This was a wrecked bike that I’m trying to get working. It had no gauges or lights on...
