LOL...you're preaching to the converted there. I hope to live a little bit longer yet, so i'm pacing myself...lol.

I've got a this huge cast iron wok burner on the side and if you cook your vegies lightly in this not only do they taste great, retain some goodness (not over cooked out of them) But you just hit it with the hose quickly as soon as you remove the vegies and the thing cracks and hisses and is clean in about two seconds...lol...A quick wipe with sesame oil and it's ready for next time....lol..I know I'm lazy...lol.

Stubby holders are usually made from neoprene nowadays and are tubes that insulate your beers from your fingers, keeping them cold longer. Stubbies being a small bottle of beer.

As for the barbie. Pergola, closed in with plakky screens. Turn it on and walk inside to let it heat up. Head out, quick clean and slap the food on. Walk back inside. Keep an eye out through the window. This also keep you in close proximity to the fridge...lol.
When things are smoking just right, head out to flip. Go out to collect food and eat it.

This is where owner-ship of a furry pal comes in handy. as a slice of bread is not as big as a plate. They take care of scraps. Stand close to the barbie while you eat and pulling the food off the plate/grill will keep your fingers warm. It's a small price to pay for good food and no dishes...lol.

I'm sorry. Dishes are?....Oh Those things people who cook eat off of...lol.
The philosophy of the average ozzie male...lol...Cook on the barbie....less in the way of dishes. Eat off of a slice of bread in your hand....this does away with both plate and cutlery. This can and does work i assure you. Then it is only necessary to use plates and cutlery when visitors come around (unless they are also ozzie males.) This way the only thing to get dirty are your stubby holders which will give you an excuse to get some new ones now and again.

Just get scrubbing brushes for the bottom of their shoes and tie feather dusters onto their arms...lol.

Do stuff around here...lol.
