First tank with my naked conversion ended up 50.29 mpg. I was riding pretty aggressively for most of the tank. A few wheelies and several trips up above 10k. My current tank I'm gonna ride it like I normally do. It should end up right where it use to be at 52mpg.
Re: Recycled Newbie chimes in
It's never too late to make a newbie mistake! I just made one this weekend while I was doing my naked conversion. I was almost done installing the mirrors and was in the process of adjusting them. I went to move the bike a little and forgot I had put the kickstand...
Wow this thread did get dug up from the grave. I've been averaging 52mpg with mixed riding with the fairing. I just did the naked conversion this weekend so I will be able to post a good comparo at the end of this week.

Now to finish buttoning it up and...
Wow! I'm really at a loss here. I've checked everything I know to check. I'm about to jumper the shutoff switch to see if it or the wires could be the culprit.
Nope. Not in gear. I checked the 2 30 amp fuses at the starter relay and they are good. This makes me think there is some kind of sensor that got tripped when I swapped out lights.
Hey guys! I'm in the process of doing the vs02 naked conversion on my bike and I'm almost finished. I wanted to check my light connections so I went to start the bike and I'm not getting any fuel pump or starter. All I'm getting is taillights. What did I do wrong. That and I'm stuck at the shop...
Can't wait to get my kit in. Says its is on the truck in Houston. I'm amazed how quick the shipping has been. It left India Tuesday and went through a couple of countries and is here in Texas today!
