I bought Renthal Road Ultra-Lows. In gold. To add some bling. I'll post pictures in this thread tonight, hopefully.
I haven't been able to ride much because it's snowing here in St. Louis. I did get a quick test ride in and I like the added leverage and feeling of control. The stock bars...
Well, I got the job done. It turns out there was nothing funny about the bolts. The problem was that my old socket set is crap. Went to the hardware store and got a proper socket and wrench. They came loosened up no problem. Lesson learned that sometimes it might be time for tool upgrades and...
Need help. I'm swapping out the stock handlebars on my 2009. I've got all the controls and stuff off and I'm ready to loosen the 4 bolts on the center clamp. These 4 bolts clamping the bars down will NOT budge. I'm just using a standard socket set and as I start to turn the socket it just spins...
Woah, I'm glad I stumbled upon your post. I almost paid $60 for Renthal Road Ultra Lows. I might get the gold ones offered. They dont look "orange" like the ebay listing claims. More like a warm gold.
Thanks for the tips. Right now I can probably get about 1 inch of travel up and down (half inch up, half down) on the chain so I'll bring the wheel in a little bit. For some reason doubling that sounds crazy, but I'll give it a shot.

I just got new tires put on and as I'm re-installing the wheels my chain is rubbing the top of the swing arm. I took slack out of the chain with the drop-out adjusters. There's about 1 inch from the inside wall of the drop out and the silver block around the axle. The chain feels tight but not...
Mystery solved! Even though I had everything tightened down properly it was the VS02 headlight kit that was making all the racket. The way the pieces fit together there is a hairs width or less gap and when the bike is running at 4K + rpm that's enough to get the plastic pieces to start...
Thanks for the tips. Right now I do have aftermarket adjustable levers installed. I think I'll try shimming the radiator cover to hold it in place away from the radiator and go for a test ride. (I'll just wedge something in there.)
Recently I've been getting a loud buzzing vibration sound from somewhere near the front of the bike. It occurs at about 4K rpms. I have the VS02 naked headlight kit installed. Everything is double checked to be tightened down and decent cable routing behind it. My horn is tightly secured on the...
