Wouldn't usually be in the UK at weekends but it is possible that we will be there then as my kids are on school holidays and the Mrs wants to bring em over to see grandparents etc. If I can make this happen, we might turn up as a "last minute" thing (if thats OK with you guys?)
Will watch...
The FZ was intended to be my second bike......first bike is (was!) a ZZR1200....unfortunately binned it in an accident before Christmas and hope to replace it with either another 12 or the new ZZR1400 (ZX14 in N America) very soon.
If I could have more, the next two on my list would probably...
No helmet = no sense.
I value my head and my family life too much not to wear gear at all times. Only ever had one serious accident but heaven knows I am glad I had my lid on. No one is immune to being knocked off their bike.....sure as ****, if you do enough miles, you will have your own...
Freedom, adrenaline rush, thrills etc all come into it. Honing your skill over years of riding is also a great buzz.....to know that you are able to take a powerful machine and handle it safely and quickly is a great pleasure.....how many of us consider that we are continually learning when in...
I don't hear it at all, even if I forget to wear earplugs which is a rarity in itself. It's more a vibe through the bars and pegs at a very specific rev range.
I have the E52 as well Whitey. I love it and it has served us well on many tours at home and abroad. Mate of mine joked that it was so big it looked like the AWACS.......
We did the following picture up as a laugh........
Slight buzz around 6K which equates to around the speed limit for UK motorways. Options - drop a gear and rev higher, go faster to raise revs or slow down.........OK, OK......there are only really two options.....:D:D:D:D.
Have to say that even with this slight rev-specific buzz, the FZ is...
Now, I am exactly 40 so does that mean I can choose, either of 30-40 OR 40-50. Perhaps it should depend on how old you feel (I feel about 18 most of the time), How much life experience you have, general maturity (definitely younger on that basis too!) or what the Mrs says (she reckons I am a...
Used to that!!.......We have had involuntary lane changes many a time when touring on the ZZR with top box, tank bag and pillion plus a fairing the size of a barge, I know what it's like to go sailing. My scariest bike moment ever was on the A68 just north of Tow Law in gale force winds with...
Thanks for all the input folks - I think I will be going for the Givi monorack without side case carriers. That should work really well for my needs.
Muchos gracias!
Rolly:D:D
Anyone use a Givi monorack on the FZ6? I have a box and would like to interchange it between bikes. Currently have a monorack for a ZZR1200 which works really well. Only had the FZ a week though so I thought I would tap into all your experience......so if you use a monorack on an FZ, do you...
