BONEMAN'S FZ6 Wreck Spotted on Craigslist

I wonder if the carbon fibre tank guard can be removed without destroying it?

That is very impressive, what is the rating, H?

my bad luck is getting expensive

Another point to consider is front vs. rear tire and also where the puncture is located. Not a hope I would trust a plugged front tire, yes they are subjected to less stress but a catastrophic or sudden failure at any speed is best left to the imagination (think 80mph on a crowed freeway)...

my bad luck is getting expensive

10k miles out of a rear tire! that is impressive! Pilot Road 2 is on my buy list for my next tire.

my bad luck is getting expensive

I have also used them with no problems but only as a temporary fix. I must admit that I do not personally know anyone who has experienced a catastrophic failure, which they claim is what is most likely to occur as opposed to a slow leak. According to what I have read, along with the size/depth...

my bad luck is getting expensive

Read the latest Cycle World, in the tech question section there is an article about tire plugs/patches. I wouldn't trust them for more than a short distance until you can replace the tire. You really are gambling with your life/health. Imagine laying in a hospital paralized for life... the...

    Deer in the corner

Bet you're glad you were wearing some gear. If you were no helmet, shorts and flip flops (I see this on a regular basis) you would not be posting right now. Glad you are okay.

POLL: How much have you paid in SPEEDING tickets over the past 12 months?

Now that's justice?? How do they determine who was actually driving the car? So if your car was lent out or stolen you get the pleasure of photo tickets with demerits? Ain't socialism grand...don't tell any Canadian politicians about this, they would jump on that in a flash with the backing...

Thanks for the info/opinions. I was actually looking to get better wind protection for the colder weather, I also do not like buffeting. I must be the right height because the buffeting with the stock screen is minimal. I am actually thinking of trying the Laminar lip, I have bought these in...

    New member welcome thread..

Hi, I'm Dean Just got a 05 FZ6...Red one. Been riding over 40 years now and have owned about 45 different bikes. No...despite my age I am not a HD rider! Although I have owned my share of all out sport bikes the FZ6 is no slouch, if you are a reasonably good rider you could open a can of...

Enjoying the FZ6 already! Love the way it revs, don't forget I've been riding a Beemer Boxer and a Ducati Multistrada (just sold) for the last 6 years. Both are low redline twins compared to the 6. I've looked into a few options for a taller windshield, looks like a choice between the Yamaha...

    What to buy with bonus?

Good choice. I live in Calgary and we have a pretty decent track and some good courses. If you are in Northern MT it would only be a half day ride.

I just acquired a 05 FZ6, bike only has about 2500 miles. Anyway, I have owned 45 different bikes and the past few years been mostly into adventure type stuff. Besides the FZ6 I have a BMW 1150GSA, 72 Yamaha RD350 and a 83 BMW R100S. Anyway, I had forgot what fun it is to have some high...
