Thanks everyone for the info. yes i know i'm not about to say i have mastered the 600's, i agree that almost anyone who says that is in line for a death wish, but i do want something with a little more pep in its step.
I still have my 06 fz6, and love it, but its time to move up the line. I wanted to get feed back from someone who has ridden both the fz6 and a fz1 or r1 to see what is best for me. up's and down's of both would be great. I know the obvious differences between the too but haven't had the chance...
I feel your pain.. lol. I live in TN, and the bike has been all I have had to go to school and work. when I got it i was 15 so as you probably would guess I was out all the time as much as I could. like everyone said layering is your friend. I found a good leather riding jacket with a liner...
Careful they can get you if your not watching (sneaky little bastards) lol. i was on my way to take my ACT ,and as i went into a turn on a back road at about 65 all i saw was the blue lights. luckily all i got was the finger pointing and he shut off the lights. i about crapped my pants.
Get well soon Wout!! I had a very close friend go down a year ago, and it was the prayers and thoughts of others that pulled him through, so stay strong and keep on fighting!

I know its a hard question to answer, but try to bare with me. I have just over 20,000 miles on my 2006 Fz6. i take great care of it "oil change on time-chain-air filter" etc. So my question is what should i expect to get out of the bike? thanks.
I'm only 17, and have been on the road for over 2 years, but everytime i see videos like that it really makes even a young crazy teen like myself think twice about what could happen. Like the saying goes, there are riders that have been down, and riders that will go down. Lets just try to keep...
