Hi (again) I posted at the beginning of the week about my FZ6 I worked out that it wont run because there is a problem with the air intake. fault code 14. Is there anything i can do to fix the air intake. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, I forgot about that I will find the paper with all the codes on it so i can try and work it out. I will post my finding tomorrow evening after work. in the mean time any more ideas?

Hi all, I have my 2004 FZ6 which I put in the Garage back in November. It wont run properly now, it starts and runs for 5-10 seconds, then cuts out. it sounds like its not getting enough fuel. When it is running I have tried to open the throttle up which it just cuts the engine straight...

Hi all, So i collect my battery today it is now charged and putting out 12.7v. I took the Fuel pump back out (3rd Time) then made sure that all connections fro the pump to the filter ect ect were in place tight and correct. As the fuel was low i put 5 Liters in. put the bike together...

So i got it tested and it read 12.2v , the garage are now charging it. I will collect it monday, and post more. Thanks everyone

Thanks everone, I went to the Yamaha dealer yesterday and he showed me the website and my Number did not come up which got me worried, however i will ring yamaha direct. i will get the TPS looked at. Any ideas on how to get it going now tho? It starts, sound rubbish and cuts out after 4-6...

Hi everyone. I'm Kyle i have a 2004 FZ6. When i come up to lights or stop sign my bike idles really low then cuts out. I restart the bike and the idle is at about 500 RPM. I switch the bike off and restart after a couple of mins its fine. I took the fuel pump and filter/Gauze thing...

Thanks for all your messages - so maybe i wont be getting my FZ6 :( it will come with 2 black keys but not sure i want to risk 1. loosing them both 2. if the ECU or immobiliser goes wrong i will have to pay for thr replacement of everything.

right ok thanks- so what happens if there is a problem with the ECU or the immobiliser i assume i need that red key to get it fixed? have you got any advice for what i should do - should i try get some money off the bike of just go for another bike alltogether?

HI, I'm looking at buying a Yamaha FZ6 on a 2004 model- It does not have a Red Key! Does this matter? As im not sure if the 2004 model have an immobiliser. I have been told that if the immobiliser or the ECU goes wrong i need that key to get it fixed? Can anyone help? thanks
