Well good news. I got a reply email from 12oclock labs this morning. We talked back and forth for a couple of replies each and they solved my problem.
All it needed was a factory reset. The how to was in the one page user manual. Sad to say I did not read that far and did not think to...
My 06 FZ6 is making me crazy! Short-story-long
Years ago I re-geared (15-48) and it made the speedo even worse than stock. So I bought a SpeedoHealer v3 and set it up. No problems with it at all until late last fall.
It started to lose its settings so that the speedo always read 0, no...
Sorry I did not come back sooner. Even sorrier that I cannot find all my pics from when I did this. Usually I keep everything, but many of this project are gone.
I do have a few:

Apparently Elmer Fudd is spelled the same in Chinese!
Is affordable HID a place or a description?
If it is a place, how about a link.
Either way it looks nice.
I still want to see the night vision results. So post up!
This is probably going to be my next upgrade. The output from my nekkid light is not awe inspiring.
An old dirt bike(r?) trick to find the correct width is to sit on the bike while it is being supported in an upright position. Center stand will work here. Close your eyes and reach for the controls. Where your hands naturally fall is probably the correct width for you.
Don't reach for...
I went back to the narrower handlebars. 31 inches was just too wide.
Here is a pic of the bars I am using now:
Obviously that was a pic from before the tear down.
The broken perch is still holding up just fine.
I like being nekkid so much I sold the fairing. I guess that means I am committed!
