    Winter project, Goin' Naked...

Yes, it's the bay kit. I never used the bulb that it came with, I purchased an LED from amazon to put in it. I've also converted all the turns to LED, and the brake/tail light. Only normal bulb left is the plate light.

    Booster Plug - 2008 FZ6n

As an automotive mechanic, I am VERY dubious of this. Perhaps the ECU is utilized substantially different on a bike an in a car, but that's certainly not how it works in a car. A car needs to know 4 things all the time when it's on O2 control (once engine and Catalyst is at operating temperature...

First ride of the season, first ride naked.

It was awesome, feels like a different bike. Here's some of my observations: 1. Slightly more engine noise. Not enough to be distracting, but noticeable. 2. LOTS more wind on the chest. I prefer this, with my front flaps open on my jacket, it would puff up the back. 3. My helmet generates lift...

First ride of the season, first ride naked.

Had a friend randomly show up and wanted to ride for a few hours. Over a little over 100 miles on the bike today. Not a bad way to start the season.

First ride of the season, first ride naked.

It was beautiful today, so I did my season opener oil change and safety check, and went for about a 2 hour ride. Really enjoying the conversion!

Factory bar weights and bar end mirrors

Bar end weight spacers for factory weights and bar end mirrors: Cut the end off an old/bent handle bar: Removed the center pipe that threaded. Cut the inner pipe down to the width of my bar end mirror clamps: After cleaning up the cuts and the threads, threaded them onto the factory bar...

    Winter project, Goin' Naked...

Yep, she's about to hit the road. I'll get some pics up. Finished one of the projects this morning. Mostly done, except the mirrors:

    Gettin' close!

The ones that attach to the factory nose? If so, I definitely won't be using them. I have FZ8 style mirrors that I'm putting on it now.

    Gettin' close!

Yeah, everything just feels more open. It's a different experience without having the nose blocking your view, and there's a lot more airflow, so no more overheating while wearing full gear. I was looking for a factory wiring harness in another thread (if that's what you're referring to), just...

    Gettin' close!

Been working heavily to finish my naked conversion. Still have to get the cluster properly mounted, and I don't have any mirror on it yet, but I did run it around my block last night. Feels COMPLETELY different than when it had a full nose on it. Lots of parts will be up for sale soon.

Part number for factory FZ6-N headlight harness

That works for the FZ6-S with the twin headlights, but if you select the FZ6-N (makes with single headlight) it doesn't show the harness. I had found that before, but was hoping maybe someone had another catalog that showed the harness for the N bikes.

Part number for factory FZ6-N headlight harness

Anyone have the factory part number for the "N" headlight harness. Just about done with my conversion, and instead of chopping up the harness to shorten it to fit behind the single headlight, I was wondering if anyone had the factory part number. Looking for the harness that goes from the body...

Got my new lift installed today

The jack on it is pump only, but a quick google search shows LOTS of people replacing the with jack with an air over hydraulic unit and running is as an air lift. That's something I may convert to, but for now I need to get the bike back together before I disable the lift i bought to work on it...

Got my new lift installed today

With the help of a friend, I was about to get my new lift put in today. I'm an auto mechanic by trade, so I'm a bit spoiled for not having to flat back work.
