Mine did that (reverted to intake temp) about ten times in the first 3000 miles without touching the reset or select buttons, it did it on a hot restart. Was considering reporting it to the dealer as it's on warranty but lately it's been fine.

Not such an Noob question, experienced riders have different opinions on when to lube. The book says every 500 miles. If you do a search on this forum you will find opinions vary on what to use and when to use it. I have seen here and on other forums everything from “never” to “never stop”...

It's a fuel system fault code. Er-1 is “No communication or unreadable communication”, possible cause listed as faulty wiring or wiring connector. You might check for loose connectors or corrosion on connections first. Perhaps when it was laid down wires may have frayed or broken. Good luck!

My figures and findings are exactly the same up to the passenger. Mine weighs 105 lbs. And for her “5” is the perfect setting for two up, “6” is a bit harsh.
