yeah you guys must be changing too early, you really should at least get 20,000 from performance street tires and about 50,000 from sport-touring tires.
powdercoating is super cheap, cheaper than paint. if you're going to bake high temp paint just get a little powder coating kit yourself, you would be using your oven either way. around my parts you can get a whole set of rims done for $100.
i did it for a couple years in highschool. i lived in a very rural area. i had to drive from one end of the county to the other for usually zero tip...not even a keep the change. after a 30 mile drive out i would hand them their stuff and they would hand me the money and just stare waiting for...
here in the US color rite is the ONLY provider of yamaha paints and ive never found a shop that can decifer their codes to mix for any other brand. never found on any forum factory released codes themselves, nor have i had any luck at a dealer. so you have to buy color rite to get an exact...
unless they sell color rite paint there is no paint code, thats the only people who make paint for the bike that i know of. the paint codes are on the site. all brands use different codes.
colorrite.com makes paints specifically, but they're a rip-off. go to an automotive paint store and they can put a gun to whatever color you need and mix it up for you.

wolfman,
if you're interested in playing around drop off the preload a click in the rear and cut 6-12mm off the spacers in the front (or change the spring). your sag settings are pretty drastic from my notes, but those are MY notes. also be aware that the more you drop the front and increase...
that thread is totally wrong. measure the circumference of a 190/55 and its bigger than a 180. that raises the rear as the OP said and that makes it steer faster. everything he said and was told is was from someone who obviously understands suspensions.
a good shock has an adjustable ride...
you can run a 190 on a 5.5" rim no problem. alot of racers do. a 110 front is a big no. those arent daiblo supercorsas (wsbk tire) either, they're dragon supercorsas, a lesser tire. i get actual supercorsas for $309 any time i want. those are really good tires though.
