    idea for dual high beams

I suspect that the H7 will give you a MUCH better low beam than an extra H4. I've only briefly played around with using the existing H4 as a second low beam, but my impression was that it was much less focused than the H7. I'm pretty sure that H7 bulbs put out more light than H4 bulbs on low. If...

Help with Top case for upcoming ride

Yep, unfortunately you do. That's why the SW-Motech ends up being a bit more expensive. The basic rack is about the same price, but Givi includes the adapter. If money is tight the Givi works perfectly well and I'm sure you'd be happy with it. I just like the modularity of the SW-Motech system...

Help with Top case for upcoming ride

I have the SW-Motech rack and really like it. It's a little more expensive than the Givi rack, but it's adaptable to any type of case out there. The case you got is a monolock. If you ever decide to go with one of the bigger Givi cases in the future they use the monokey mounting system. With the...

    Ricor Intiminator fork mod

Would using a lighter weight oil work? I barely know what I'm talking regarding suspension, but that's the only way I can see it working without drilling. Otherwise it seems like you could only increase compression damping over stock and not reduce it.

Full Face Helmet Performance In RAIN

I've tried Raincoat on my visor and that seems to work pretty well. It's a paste that you rub on and then buff off. Their web site is Moto Solutions. I bought the small packets at Cycle Gear for $1 I think. They also have Fogtech for fogging with I haven't tried. I've found that for rain once I...

    Ricor Intiminator fork mod

Subscribing. I've tried searching to see if anyone has ever used them in a FZ6 but haven't found anything. The reviews I've read from other bikes have been very positive.

Strange Steering After Head Bearing Change! WTF????

My bet would also be that they are a little too tight. My bearings were getting loose on my old Suzuki so I relubed and tightened them. I got them just a little too tight. The bike was just spooky trying to ride it in a straight line. It would feel like it was rapidly going back and forth...

    Throttlemeister installed

I don't get the BrakeAway. It seems to be a solution in search of a problem. You can still adjust the throttle position with any of the throttle locks. You'll naturally roll off the throttle as you hit the brake anyway. I can't see paying $200 for the BrakeAway instead of $20 for a Vista-Cruise...

    Rear wheel alignment... or not?

If you have a Harbor Freight near you look for the exact same tool there. Can't remember how much I paid, but it was cheap. http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/itemdisplay/displayItem.do?itemid=66798

    Who has a tank bag?

Botch, what bags do you have and do you have any pictures of them mounted to the bike? I've looked at those bags and they're expensive but look really nice. The option to run power to them looks pretty slick.

Lowering pegs with STOCK pegs or alternatives for tall rider?

The only lowering pegs I'm aware of that will fit the FZ6 without modification are the Knight Design, MFW, and the upcoming Moto Werk. None of them will work with stock pegs. I've seen lowering blocks like you're looking for before, but only for other bikes. I haven't seen them for the FZ6.

    Small air compressor?

Yeah, a manual pump may be a bit of work to change tires. :D I'd definitely recommend skipping any of the cordless or tankless compressors for changing tires. It's a lot easier to seat the bead with a compressor that can fill the tire quickly. It can be done with the smaller compressors, but...

    Small air compressor?

I have a couple small compressors in the garage, but I never use them for the bike. I only ever need 2 or 3 psi at most so it's easier to just use a cheap bicycle floor pump. Half a dozen pumps and you're good to go.

Sears has motorcycle trunks on sale $32.49 or $42.49

From what I've read the large case should work directly with the Givi monokey plate. The SW-Motech monokey plate is just barely different enough that you need to sand a little bit on the slots of the case to get it to fit. With the Givi plate I don't think you need to do that. The medium case...

Anyone with a Givi e55 or e52? Are they comfortable?

The biggest advantage with the motech racks over the plx racks is that you can remove them. With the Givi's you're stuck with those tubular racks on the sides when you remove the cases. The SW-Motechs can be completely removed except for a couple small mounting tabs.
