Okay... Usually a pinched nerve or similar. I have dealt with same issues for years now. As for my FZ6, I put on the risers - 1" up and 1" back - gave a little relief..... Then installed a throttle lock so I can get my hand of the bar from time to time as I cruise to shake out the numbness...

Okay.... This is what frosts my balls...... Had a dude in a car - Acura, BMW some such - merging in on a ramp on freeway... Now I am in middle lane, and this driver either didn't see me or didn't care. Anyway, he just "cruises" into right lane, then zipps into middle lane cutting me off, and...

That fork is un-repairable. Even the tube is bent. IMHO, throw it out....

One week should not present any problem. Only issue would be on an older battery in very cold weather. Good battery should be fine.

I have had all manner of bikes - and yes, 250 Ninja and it is no slouch for such a small bike. Having said that, the biggest concern for a new rider is when the panic button is pushed and a powerful bike does not forgive. That is the reason so many advise to start with a bike that does not...

Just listened to video - that is definitely not a rod knock. Could be some lash in transmission gear train. That bike is gonna run a long time.:thumbup:

If there is no noise along with the feeling of the knock, I doubt a rod is culprit. How about out of sync injectors? would cause an uneven idle but barely noticeable at running speeds. BTW, my idle is at 950~1000, and is smooth as silk. Keeping idle speed low helps to keep bike cooler in stop...

My mileage may be hard to believe, but I more "cruise" - I have fun in twisties, but I don't hammer it - mostly foothills and into the mountains here in northern Calif. You get too aggressive on those roads and the only thing that will find you is a bear..... Anyway, I have gotten up to 60 MPG...

I suspect the charging system. If the battery is fully charged, it will read 12+ volts. Right after charging it may be as high as 13, but should drop back to about 12 volts or so. Leave the meter on the battery terminals, and start the bike. The voltage should only drop a little bit as starter...
