Also I am moving down to south OC next week and need to connect with some riders that know the area and the good spots to ride and avoid traffic.
Anyone?
I really liked the motor but the ride is so harsh and even with spending money last week to get the stock suspension setup for my weight 172lbs it still is very harsh and I am not tall 5;7" and the lean over the tank is a lot. This bike is better for taller guys 6ft and more. The bike handles...
After moving from my 09 FZ6 and selling it to my friend and jumping on an 848 and really not liking it, I decided to take a 11 Triumph Street Triple 1050 for a test ride. That was good enough and took it home for good. The bike is awesome but I still love the FZ and can take it whenever I want.
Thanks for the good words on the bike...it really is insane to look at everday in the garage and on the road is incredible to ride. I did order a new sargent seat which should add some comfort for longer days.
The great thing is that I sold my FZ to a close friend so I can throw a leg over...
I have a leather Alpinestars jacket size US 42 (M) for sale. It has rarely been used an is a great jacket with full CE armour and has insulated removable liner. The jacket looks great with a blue or black FZ.
I will unload for $100
After getting my brand new FZ6 last June and having it all set up the way I wanted and really enjoying the bike, I sold it last week to a friend that wanted to buy it and I picked up an 09 Ducati 848. The bike totally rips but is not as rider friendly for anything over 50 miles.
I miss a lot...
I have a 2009 FZ6 bought in June of 2010 new from dealer with 2Bros pipes & 2Bros Juice Box, GYTR gel seat, LSI frame sliders, new Michelon Pilot 2CT tires, lower cowl, Rizoma Bars & Larger smoke windscreen.
Total Miles - 4600
I am in the bike for over $7,800
Will sell for $5,300...
I hit the 33 last week Dave and it was EPIC...72 degrees with snow on the sides of the road. Coming back down there are a few turns that you need to watch but it it does not rain anytime soon it will be perfect. I cant make it as I will be in Steamboat snowboarding.
The stock bars hurt my wrists due to the sweep and angle. I went with FZ1 bars and thought they were much better but you do lean in more than stock so I ended up getting a pair of Rizoma's and they are GREAT. Highly recommend them as they are really lite and are slightly raised higher than the...
I got rid of the stock bars after 3 weeks and went to the FZ1 which is great but then changes to RIZOMA's which are even better. You can pick up a pair at PJ's Parts - Accessories For Every Bike And Rider and have them in 3 days.
Finally got to install the bar snake into my Rizoma bars. This did make a huge improvement and got ride of the buzz that these bars have.
If you have rizomas then this is a simple must have, get the AL1 as it fits well.
The only other way for the pipes to fit was to have the ends face in rather than out. I recently saw another bike with the same setup and he had it facing in which looked strange.
The K&N filter seems to work fine with the pipes and juice box.
